Worth The Pursuit

I don’t know where this road will lead,

But something in me says,

proceed.

There’s something about you I can’t explain,

A little sunshine after rain.

I find myself hoping you’ll notice me,

Wondering what we could someday be.

I’m not trying to rush what’s meant to unfold,

I just want the chance to let my feelings be told.

I’ll take my time,

I’ll let things grow,

And see where these feelings choose to go.

Because when I like someone,

I don’t pretend

I care deeply,

from beginning to end.

So maybe I’ll pursue you,

gently and true,

Not asking for more than you want to give too.
