Why Batman Beats The Man Of Steel

You speak of Superman with awe,
A sun-born god,
a flawless face,
But let me show you what I saw
Why Batman truly takes first place.
Clark Kent was born with gifts divine,
A strength the world has never known,
He soars above on borrowed shine,
A hero made,
not forged alone.
But Batman
Bruce,
a mortal man
Was shaped by loss,
by pain,
by night,
He built himself without a plan,
And turned his darkness into light.
No alien powers grace his veins,
No laser eyes or flight on high,
He faces Gotham’s endless pains
With only will and reason why.
While Superman,
with endless might,
Could crush a mountain,
split the sea,
He’s never had to learn to fight
For every inch of victory.
For Batman bleeds,
and Batman breaks,
Yet rises every time he falls,
He’s human
every scar he takes
A testament that duty calls.
His mind’s a weapon,
sharp and keen,
Detective,
tactician,
knight of shade,
He sees the world not black or green,
But every choice and price that’s paid.
While Superman,
for all his grace,
Is bound by rules he cannot bend,
Batman adapts,
he knows the place
Where justice and the gray lines blend.
He’s feared by those who walk the night,
Respected by both friend and foe,
His legend grows without the light,
In shadowed streets where heroes go.
So give me Batman,
flawed and wise,
With haunted eyes and iron will
A hero born from sacrifice,
A man who stands and stands there still.
For greatness isn’t in the sky,
Or in the strength to lift a star
It’s in the ones who dare to try,
And fight for hope, no matter how far.
So Superman may rule the day,
But Batman owns the endless dark
A mortal man who found his way,
And lit the world with just a spark.
