Mood Swings

In shadows deep where silence dwells,
A tempest brews with whispered spells.
The world once bright now fades to gray,
As feelings twist and drift away.
From soaring highs like birds in flight,
To crashing lows that steal the light.
A pendulum swings, heart heavy with doubt,
In the echoing halls of a mind worn out.
Laughter lingers, then swiftly departs,
Replaced by the weight that sits on my heart.
A smile—a flicker, then swallowed by night,
As joy tiptoes softly, just out of sight.
Yet amidst the chaos, a flicker remains,
A spark of resilience hidden in pains.
For through every storm, a lesson is learned,
In the dance of emotions, a fire still burned.
So I walk this path, though shadows may cling,
Embracing the journey, the hope that it brings.
For within every swing, both high and low,
Lies the strength to rise up and learn how to grow.
