If Love Could Heal

1 min read

If love could stitch the wounds she bears,

I’d mend each scar with whispered prayers.

I’d trade my strength,

my breath,

my days,

To light her path through darker ways.

I watch her smile through hidden pain,

A quiet sun beneath the rain.

She carries battles few can see,

Yet still she stands so selflessly.

How I wish her health was stronger,

That every burden stayed no longer.

I wish for mornings filled with ease,

And nights that bring her gentle peace.

She deserves a life that’s kind,

Free from the worries that cloud her mind.

She’s given so much,

year after year,

With endless love and steadfast care.

Sometimes I feel so small inside,

Unable to turn the changing tide.

All I can do is hold her hand,

And hope life finally understands.

I don’t ask for riches,

fame,

or more,

Just laughter echoing through her door.

A healthy heart,

a hopeful smile,

A chance to rest for just a while.

So every night,

before I sleep,

I send a prayer that’s soft and deep:

“Please watch over the one I love.

Wrap her in grace from up above.

Let healing find her where she stands.

Place strength and comfort in her hands.

Because if anyone deserves life’s best,

It’s my mother

may her heart know rest.”

And no matter what tomorrow brings,

She’ll always be my everything.

For a mother’s love has shaped my soul,

And seeing her well is what would make me whole.
