Forgotten

In the tapestry woven with laughter and light,

Threads of affection danced, so vibrant, so bright.

But seasons will shift, and shadows will creep,

And memories fade like the promises we keep.

We shared whispered secrets, the dreams that we spun,

But time is a thief, and it takes just for fun.

Faces turn distant, the warmth turns to cold,

The stories once cherished now gather with mold.

In moments of silence, I search for your gaze,

But the echoes of friendship have lost all their blaze.

What was once steadfast now drifts like a leaf,

Caught in the currents of distance and grief.

Yet still, in my heart, the remnants will dwell,

Of laughter and love that once cast a spell.

Though forgotten by many, some bonds linger deep,

For the heart holds what time cannot take, nor keep.

So here’s to the ties that may falter and fray,

To the lessons they teach us along the way.

For friendships may fade, yet the love still remains,

In the quietest corners, where memory gains.
