Embracing Imperfection

In the mirror’s gaze, I see the cracks,

Each flaw a story, a whisper, a track.

A gentle reminder of battles I’ve fought,

In this tapestry woven, I cherish each thought.

My laughter is uneven, a melody unique,

It dances through moments, a spark that I seek.

With scars etched upon this canvas so bold,

I embrace my narrative, a tale to be told.

The freckle on my nose, a dot of sunlight,

Reminds me of joy, of days filled with light.

And those unkempt curls—a wild, vibrant crown,

Each twist and each bend, in them I won’t drown.

I stumble and falter; I trip on life’s lines,

But wisdom flows deeper than polished designs.

So I wrap my arms round this beautiful sphere,

With all of my flaws, I choose to draw near.

For in shadows and valleys, I find my own grace,

The essence of loving this imperfect space.

In a world full of filters, I cast them aside,

Unfiltered, I flourish, my truth is my guide.

With confidence rising like the sun after rain,

I honor my journey, my joy, and my pain.

I’m whole in my mess, and that’s where I bloom,

In the garden of self-love, I’ll banish the gloom.
