Effects of Loss

In shadows deep, a soul departs,

Leaving echoes in vacant hearts.

The laughter shared, the dreams we spun,

Now drift like leaves—our joy undone.

Each dawn unveils a heavy sigh,

Where once we danced, now silence lies.

The empty chair, the quiet room,

A testament to love's cruel tomb.

In whispers soft, the memories wane,

Yet, through the pain, I seek the gain.

A flicker of hope, a glimmering sound,

In fragments of the past, I’m still bound.

Oh, waves of sorrow crash upon my core,

A relentless tide that pulls to the shore.

Through sleepless nights and weary days,

I wander lost—a soul in a maze.

Mirrors show the scars I hide,

Each crack a tale of love denied.

Acceptance, they say, comes slow but sure,

Yet each fleeting moment feels obscure.

Through valleys deep, I’ll learn to tread,

With each step forward, I'll honor the dead.

For in their light, I find my way,

And in my heart, they forever stay.

A peaceful landscape suggesting healing and reflection
