Restless hours creep by, In the deep of the night, Blanket of darkness hangs, My mind takes off in flight.
Dreams elude my grasp, As shadows dance in glee, Echoes of silence linger, In this sleepless spree.
Counting sheep, an old trick, But my thoughts unfurl, Morpheus decides to skip me, As I twist and twirl.
Moonlight whispers softly, A lullaby in the air, Yet I'm lost in this nocturnal world, Without a single care.
An eerie quietude descends, On these hollow hours, Yet clamor for slumber beckons, Amidst the midnight flowers.
Tired eyes search for solace, In a realm of awake and aware, Leaden limbs beg for mercy, In this insomniac affair.
Digital clocks mock me, With their relentless ticking, Each second stretching longer, In this sleepless kicking.
Twinkling stars bear witness, To my nocturnal plight, Burning bright in the distance, As I wrestle with the night.
Silent house creaks gently, A soundtrack to my fate, As I toss and turn in torment, Yearning for repose so late.
Hope floats as dawn approaches, A sliver of light on the horizon, Yet in the heart of this sleepless night, I battle to keep my eyes on.
Invisible ties bind me, To this realm of half-lit dreams, Wrapped in a cocoon of shadows, As the night silently screams.
So here I lay, wrapped in solitude, In the quiet embrace of the dark, Penning lines of sleepless tales, Art from a restless spark.
And when at last, exhaustion wins, And slumber's arms embrace, I journey to the land of dreams, In this intricate sleepless chase.
Through the haze of drowsy morning, I'll emerge from the shadowed deep, Humbled by the night's persistence, Into the light, I'll peacefully leap.
So to all the weary wanderers, Lost in the twilight hours, May your sleepless vigils end, With dawn's gentle powers.
Remember, in the dead of night, When your mind takes a leap, Rest will come, the weary will rest, In the arms of a slumber so deep.
With these 26 lines, a tribute to the restless nights, May slumber find you soon, under peaceful twilight.
