Breaking Free From Toxic Ties

In the garden of life, where friendships bloom,

Some roots grow deep, casting shadows and gloom.

They whisper deceit, they harvest despair,

Turning bright moments into cold, silent air.

Toxicity stains what once was pure,

With words like arrows that wound and obscure.

Promises broken, trust left to decay,

Silent screams echoing in the fray.

A friend who drains, whose darkness consumes,

Who feeds on your kindness, leaves you in gloom.

Their words are venom, their actions unkind,

A mirror of wounds they refuse to unwind.

But beyond the pain, a dawn begins,

A spark of strength ignites within.

To recognize the poison, to sever the chain,

To seek the sunlight after pouring rain.

Release the grip of those who devalue,

Who bring no peace, only chaos and rue.

Surround yourself with those who lift and heal,

Who see your worth and genuinely feel.

Learn to love yourself, amidst the ache,

For self-worth is the shield you truly take.

Let go of the shadows, embrace what’s right

Your heart deserves to soar, to shine bright.

In every ending, a new start is born,

A chance to mend and not be forlorn.

Toxic ties may come and go,

But your inner light continues to glow.

So cherish what’s genuine, cast aside the false,

Trust your intuition, listen to your soul.

For life’s too precious to hold on tight,

To bonds that dim or steal your light.

Rise above the darkness, reclaim your peace,

From toxic chains, find your release.

In self-love and courage, you’ll truly find

A path to healing, and a heart unconfined.
