Anxiety

In the depths where shadows creep,
Anxiety stirs, and peace takes a leap.
A tempest brews within the mind,
A whirlwind of thoughts, unkindly intertwined.
Heartbeat quickens, a drum that won’t cease,
Nerves twist and coil, seeking release.
Air grows thick, like a fog in the night,
Panic’s sharp claws grip with fright.
What ifs dance like phantoms, relentless and sly,
Each whisper a worry, a reason to cry.
The weight of the world presses down from above,
A suffocating shroud, where silence once loved.
Yet in this storm, a flicker remains,
A glimmer of hope, through the darkest of pains.
Breathe in the moment, let the chaos unwind,
For even the night must yield to the kind.
With time, the waves may ebb and recede,
And the heart will find solace, the mind will be freed.
Though anxiety lingers, a guest at the door,
Resilience will rise, and courage will soar.
