A Legend Beyond The Midnight Hour

The curtain falls,

the lights grow dim,

But nothing can extinguish him.

A voice, a smile,

a wicked grin,

A thousand worlds he carried within.

As Frank-N-Furter,

bold and free,

He taught the world to simply be.

Through Rocky Horror,

night by night,

He showed us how to embrace our light.

Then came Pennywise,

haunting the screen,

The dancing clown with eyes unseen.

A character frightening,

strange, and grand,

Forever remembered across the land.

In Clue,

he served with wit and flair,

As Wadsworth,

always standing there.

In Annie,

he schemed as Rooster with style,

And in Home Alone 2,

he made us smile.

From Legend to Muppet Treasure Island too,

There was hardly a role that Curry couldn’t do.

Villains and heroes,

wicked and wise,

He brought every character vividly to life.

But beyond every costume, every scene,

Beyond every character ever seen,

There was Tim

the actor,

singer,

star

A brilliant soul who traveled far.

So tonight when the midnight pictures play,

And Frank-N-Furter dances away,

We’ll raise our voices,

remember his name,

And celebrate the man who forever changed the game.

The castle may sleep beneath the moon,

But his legacy will never leave us soon.

The curtain may close,

the spotlight may fade

But legends like Tim Curry never truly leave the stage.
