Giving Up

New year,

Same old thing.

The fighting,

And the drama.

So tired of it,

I just want it to end,

What on this gods green earth,

Can i do?

Me being me,

I am not one to give up.

But i am tired,

I no longer wish to argue.

Are you through?

Because i am,

I am at my point in life,

Where i myself,

Need to walk away.

Pains me to say goodbye,

But it is time to let go.

Let go of the toxic,

And move on with the positive.

Might get a little cliche,

And say,

New year new me.

But this time,

I mean it.

New year,

No more drama,

It is my time to walk away.

Friendships that once were,

Are no longer.

I am not one to do so,

But this time,

I am giving up.

Not for you,

But for me.

Hey there everyone, first off i would like to say happy new year! wow 2020 man, crazy how a whole year just flew by like that right? insane. 2019 i had A LOT of ups and a tons more downs. but this year i want to make a few more changes, and that starts with the people who are more toxic in my life, it sucks because i care about everyone and there well being. but at this point in my life if you are only going to be my friend when it is convenient to you then it is time for you to cut the cord and plug in to someone else. leave me be for good, no more apologies, no more "oh we've been through a lot" nope none of that, i am tired of the same old song. this year already started off with drama and i had to cut that cord right there, one thing i will say here, if you have any kind of issues with anyone or you feel as if you have been disrespected by someone, speak up, speak your mind, address the problem with that person, because when that person continues to do what you don't like your just gonna sit there and get more angry and then do something even more stupid, see what i am saying here? closed mouths don't get fed. so address your problem and resolve it, don't always stay quiet.
