Bowling With You

A bowling ball,
And a pin.
Looking down the lane,
Seeing the arrows.
Wondering where to start,
Should i go here,
Or should i go there.
It is your turn again,
You look around.
A sad look,
Almost a tear falling.
You throw,
You strike.
You sit and you weep,
Everyone gathers around you.
As i stand there and watch.
You bowled a 300 game,
You weep aloud and look up.
The words come out,
ever so softly.
This one is for you,
As i stand there,
With a smile on my face,
Looking down at you.
Being forever so proud.
Proud to see you succeed,
To be in your life.
For the amount of time,
That i had,
Your dad.
Bowling with you,
Has been a great time.
When the thunder rolls,
And lightning strikes.
Just know that's me,
Throwing strikes.
Just like old times,
Bowling with you.
Hey there everyone,
so as you read this you may seem a little bit confused. this is not like most of my usual poems. i am more or less speaking in the second person. or somewhat telling a story on how i think this person would say what i wrote.
you might be even a little bit more confused as to what i said, there is a short and unfortunate story behind this one.
Last week the world lost a great person too soon, My friend Kenny who is pretty much like a brother to me his father Kenny Moen Sr. had unfortunately passed away. i don't know how it feels to lose a parent at all but i can only imagine the pain he and the rest of his family is feeling. he was loved by many. we will all miss him,
Rest in Peace Kenny Moen Sr.
Fly high with the angels.
