What You See

Look at me,
Don't look away.
Look me,
In the eye.
What do you see,
When you look at me.
A smile,
Maybe even hear,
A laugh.
What don't you see?
That's hard to say really,
Because its easy to read,
From the outside.
Rather the inside,
So everything you see,
Is what you get.
Can you break it down?
The wall?
The wall that holds me,
The true me.
On the outside you will see,
The smile,
The beauty.
The inside?
All you would see,
If the wall be broken.
Sadness,
Despair,
Losing of the will to live.
Crying for help,
But you can't hear me.
You can't see past my barrier.
It takes a lot to knock,
Knock out that wall,
And to get passed the barrier.
To inside my deepest thoughts,
Even feelings.
So as i shall say this.
What you see,
Is what you get.
Accept me for how i am,
Who i am,
Or just leave me be.
What you see,
Is what you get.
Hey there guys and gals,
hope all is well with you, so yes i am at day two in a row for writing a new poem. just been really picking at my own brain really today and that's when these words just started to flow through my head. so as i wrote it and typed it i read it aloud. this is literally me speaking to you all, whether you be a male or a female, in order to see who i am and feel what i feel you have to have my main trust to break down my wall. because in all honesty it is seriously hard for me to trust anyone, and if i do trust you and you abuse my trust and or disrespect it then i will forever shut down, if you don't believe me then ask some of my family, they could tell you. but basically what i am saying here, is that if i let you in, and i let you hear and see ALL of me then i want you to accept me for me and who i am and where i come from. whatever family city or state, if you can't accept that then it just won't work, trust me, i would know.
Hopefully you all like this one here ;)
