Him staring,

Her looking.

Trying to talk to her,

But she looks away.

Looking confused,

He tries again.

Yet nothing,

She walks away.

He chases,

She walks faster.

He calls her out,

Yet still nothing.

Social media she posts,

Yet he still gets nothing.

Still looking confused,

Feeling even more lost.

He starts wondering,

Is she worth it?

So he tries again,

In the flesh.

He compliments her,

She smiles.

She turns to him,

As they speak.

He in his mind says,

Wow i finally did it.

What did he do?

The compliment?

No not that,

What he did was,

extraordinary.

He just stares,

As she asks,

Are you ok?

He answers,

Yes beautiful.

She smiles,

As for he has finally,

Gained the attention.

The attention he seeked,

From a beauty.

A beauty in the flesh,

He'd do anything.

Just to get hers,

Her attention.

Hey y'all! i hope you're ready for a bit of a short story like poem here! not much rhyming here but not all poetry has to rhyme right? i got the inspiration for this poem about 10-15 minutes ago. from a friend, whom i haven't been showing much attention to the last few days. sooo many things have been going on and i've just not showing him attention and i feel horrible for it. but i will send a big big thank you to mello for the inspiration to this poem here. Ladies, don't forget about the good guys out there trying to get your attention, it could turn in to something awesome. and to my men, don't ever give up on someone just because she is a bit distracted by daily life things. she will come around. Happy reading y'all!!
