Wings

Flying,
Looking above.
Looking beyond,
Seeing smiles.
Hearing laughter,
Hearing crying.
Seeing tears,
Love pouring.
Emotions rising,
As you realize,
You are no longer here.
No longer on earth,
Yet here in spirit.
God gave you yours early,
Use them.
Still wondering,
What is happening.
Why you?
Where are you?
Gone,
To the heavens.
As for you,
Have gained your wings.
Your angel wings,
Flying high.
Watching over us,
As we love you.
And are forever,
Missing you.
No more pain,
No more suffering.
Your wings were ready,
Yet my heart,
Was not.
Hey everyone!! i'm back with a new poem... this one is a bit emotional on me, for tomorrow being my best friend angel's birthday. he passed away 3 years ago. i have mentioned him more than once in a few poems on here. he meant a lot to me honestly he was more than just a best friend to me. he was more like a brother than anything. always there for me. through the hard and easy times. but anyways, basically the meaning behind this, is that when he left this world i felt almost every emotion run through me. i was was sad, upset, just plain emotional. i couldn't really believe he was gone. his wings were ready but my heart was definitely NOT. i miss him more and more everyday, cherish the times with all of your friends and family, because not every day is promised. when they are gone, life changes in the most craziest ways. believe me. so this poem is for sure dedicated to my best friend who passed, Nicholas James Leon White. or from what i called him was my Angel. Gone but never forgotten.
