My first day i met you,

I was lucky.

You were a baby,

It was my birthday.

The best memory,

I have of you,

Was the first day i met you.

I was the luckiest,

Girl in the world.

As that memory,

Fades away i ask.

Mom,

Why can't i see him anymore? it isn't fair.

He was mine,

It was not,

His time yet.

And she answers,

Either you can or you can't,

See him.

Either way,

You are right.

But the memory,

Of him,

Will always and forever.

Stay strong,

In your heart.

I wrote this poem about 4 years ago, this one is dedicated to my cat trouble who i had to put down about 5 years ago. a lot of people are like "your still not over that" um, no? is there supposed to be a limit on missing an animal you once had? trouble was a part of my heart. he was a part of my family. i will never ever forget him
